So....I'm going to try to get caught up on all of the things I should have been blogging about recently. I'm going to start with the most recent and go in reverse. Ready? Ok.
This past Friday, I had the pleasure of photographing Anne & Matt's wedding at Grace Lutheran Church and their reception at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts. Anne and Matt were great to hang around with all day. They're incredibly nice people, and they're refreshingly laid back. Not to the point that they didn't care, of course. You could tell a lot of thought was put into that gorgeous wedding. It's just that they weren't stressing about anything on their wedding day, and were able to genuinely enjoy sharing it with their family and friends. Speaking of family, between them they have five(!) sisters. You could tell that Anne's 3 sisters were thrilled to be getting a brother for the first time.
Ok, I know. Enough chit chat. You want to see photos. :) Here you go:
So this first photo isn't one that I took, but I think it's pretty cool. There's a website where you can make signs, concert tickets, record labels, etc. say whatever you want them to say. You can even change the colors and the logos on them. For this one, I tried to match the color of the bridesmaid dresses. The website is

The flowers were beeeeautiful! You may be able to tell that I love the bright flowers since I used Carrie's gorgeous bright bouquet on my website. Anne's flowers actually matched some of the shoes her bridesmaids were wearing. She let each of them pick out their own shoes, and they were all different colors. Fun!

The wedding party walked from the church to the Marcus Center, just a few blocks away. There were quite a few people honking horns and wishing the couple well.
We stopped and took this along the sidewalk. Aren't they adorable?
This is one of those reflections that just doesn't make any sense to me, but it looks really cool. The building reflected is north of this building, and the windows it's reflected in are curving to the south. I seriously don't get it. Maybe one of my engineer friends can explain it to me. I just know it's a cool background for a photo.

The cocktail hour was along the windows facing this little courtyard, and there were tables set up for guests to sit outside. It was a beautiful day, and this is the view from the courtyard.

A huge stuffed camel made an appearance. It's an inside joke and has been evidently been a guest at other weddings before.

This little girl was hilarious. She just kept spinning in circles on her belly. Wouldn't it be great to be that easily entertained again? I'm not sure spinning on my belly would work since I'm a little bigger than this girl. Hold on. Let me try.
Well, whaddya know? It works. And it's as much fun as she's making it look. :)
